Role:








- Responsible for assisting in the growth and retention of the overall business deposit base through lending and offering products including, but not limited to, Treasury Management Solutions, which will lead to increased long-term member relations consistent with the credit union's strategic goals.











- Assisting, training and developing branch staff in expanding their knowledge of business deposit and Treasury Management products. This is done by providing exceptional member service, maintaining positive relationships with members, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and providing subject-matter expertise.











- This individual will be responsible for representing the credit union within our community during and after normal business hours at which time they will adhere to the credit union's core set of values.











Essential Functions & Responsibilities:





- Implement and carry out lead generation seeking sales opportunities toward the growth of the branches while remaining aligned with Company goals. Actively make member and prospect calls to generate new relationships for the credit union. Additionally, in growing the portfolio, and supporting Branch Managers and their staff in procuring commercial deposit relationships and providing the right Treasury Management solutions to existing and new members. Assisting with development of enhanced business product materials with the partnership of the Marketing department. .
- Cultivate small business and related consumer relationships outside of the credit union.
- This will include participating in community outreach, supporting community groups/activities, participating in networking opportunities and other business development activities. Represent the CU in our community during and after business hours. Participate in networking opportunities and other business development activities
- Assist with development and provide support and implementation of the credit union’s suite of Treasury Management Services, including Business Online Banking, ACH Origination, Online Wires, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture. Directly help members in setting up and implementing Treasury Management Services over the phone, in person, and at the members' place of business. Oversee outside vendor relationships (merchant, payroll, etc.) to provide quality business services to the credit union’s membership. Develop and implement innovative strategies to identify and pursue new or alternative business opportunities, with the goal of enhancing member satisfaction and driving organizational growth.
- Support Commercial Lenders in the business account opening and serve as a liaison between the lending and the branch relationship. Process business loan application under $50,000. Interview applicants to secure data for completing the loan application from start to finish without assistance or supervision. Answer basic and complex questions.
- Conduct market research to identify trends on competitor activities. Provide reports and data analysis to support the VP of Community Outreach/Sales, the COO and CLO as requested. Keep VP appraised of any issues with any department or branches.

Knowledge and Skills:






Experience
Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.












Education
(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are necessary for success in a business-to-business sales setting.





























Other Skills
- Must have experience in sales and customer service.




- The candidate should have intermediate computer skills in Windows-based office suites such as Office 365, (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint and other software as needed), should have the ability to create and use spreadsheets for data organization. General understanding of business banking software. Working knowledge of other communication software ( Zoom, Teams, Google).















- Maintain NMLS# with the Federal Registry in compliance with the SAFE Act.
