Requirements

The Role and Responsibilities

EnerMech is gearing up for major shutdown campaigns across the country from mid December 2025 through 2026 and beyond. We are inviting expressions of interest from experienced and safety-driven Boiler Operators to join our high-performing teams on upcoming projects. Regardless of your location we are open to point of hires from all major cities in Australia.

  • Operate and monitor boilers, steam systems, and associated plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance, including water quality testing, pressure control, and fuel system monitoring.
  • Conduct start-up and shutdown procedures in accordance with site operating standards and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to system alarms or performance deviations, identifying and resolving issues to maintain reliable operation.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and maintenance records, ensuring compliance with EnerMech and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams to support continuous improvement and plant reliability.
  • Uphold EnerMech’s strong commitment to safety, integrity, and operational excellence in every task.

The Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a Boiler Operator in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • High Risk Work Licence - Boiler Intermediate or Boiler Advanced (essential)
  • White Card
  • Industry Safety Induction (desirable)
  • Working at Heights, Confined Space dated within 2 years (desirable)
  • Gast Test Atmosphere dated within 2 years (desirable)
  • BOSIET - Offshore works mandatory
  • Ability to pass OEUK and or Safer Together Medical
  • Australian working rights
