Quality Manager chez Emerson

• Manage the implementation and development of the quality system in the manufacturing of goods as well as in the procurement of raw material in such a way that the standards in the manufacturing of the final products are met.

• Lead the development and implementation of the procedures that help to continuously improve the various areas that are interrelated with the quality system in this organization. 

• Lead the different awareness programs in the organization that promote the continuous improvement and systems thinking 

• Coordinate the activities in the metrology area to guarantee the right quality of the equipment measurements.   

• Administer Quality System, keeping the Global Quality Manual up to date in together with corporate. 

• Assure the quality improvement of our products by implementing quality plans, control methods, and the use of quality tools such as statistical process control (SPC), Process Control Plans (PCP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Six Sigma, etc.

• Coordinate the responses to the non-conformities found in our products by our internal and external customers by improving the processes and documenting the solutions in our corrective action system. 

• Provide support to quality process engineers and quality superintendents for the effective coordination of manufacturing processes related to products, including externally provided products, services, and processes.

• Assure the correct segregation, control and monitoring of non-conforming material detected in the manufacturing and receiving inspection areas.

• Develop suppliers though continuous improvement and documentation of the corrective actions that resulted from the continuous improvement process. 

• Optimize the Corrective and Preventive Action System to assure effective and timely responses 

• Manage the quality systems including internal and external audits to keep full compliance with the requirements of ISO9000, ATEX, PED , UL, CSA and other certifications agencies.   

• Coordinate critical process audits which serve as key source to continuously validate and improve our processes   

• Support product transfers by focusing on the validation of manufacturing processes and the implementation of quality controls needed to improve the level of quality. 

• Assure that the Non Destructive Testing activities such as: X ray, Dye Penetrant Testing, Ultrasound and others are carried out in agreement to the defined norms and standards and met internal and external customer requirements.   

• Develop and provide performance feedback to the quality personnel in an environment that fosters leadership, self-direction, respect and trust to maintain a good and high performance working environment.

• Complies with all safety policies, reports immediately any situation of risk and participates actively with actions to improve safety in his area of control

• Controls the resources assigned by the company to the department.

• Takes and participates in actions that helps keep the Quality System.
