The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for assisting the Area Sales Managers with calling on prospective customers/target accounts and evaluating and providing technical support to Key, New and Existing account customers.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer quality and service.
  • Provide technical support, plant audits, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
  • Reduce customer complaints and resolve product issues effectively.
  • Drive sales, margin growth, and volume expansion.
  • Share competitive insights, new products, and market trends with Sales Managers.
  • Offer expertise in wood, metal, and plastics coatings technology.
  • Represent the company at industry seminars and trade shows.
  • Manage product trials and support specification approvals for national accounts.
  • Collaborate with labs on technical challenges and product development.
  • Assist with equipment installation and line adjustments.
  • Conduct technical training and application seminars for customers.
  • Advise on paint specifications and inventory management.
  • Train customers on product use and application techniques.
  • Prepare samples and panels for sales presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical service issues for follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Engineer / Technical Assistant in Industrial Paint Applications.
  • Strong knowledge of the Spanish industrial wood coatings market.
  • Proven track record in technical support for major accounts, including automated production lines.
  • Solid understanding of coatings technology, curing processes, and application systems (robotic, autospray, vacuum, roller).
  • Expertise in wood substrate coating technologies and exterior joinery coatings, including window design and application.
  • Skilled in root-cause analysis and problem-solving for technical issues.
  • Hands-on ability to spray all major coating technologies.
  • Proficient with automatic color-matching systems and advanced application methods.
  • Spanish/English

Travel requirements: up to 50%
