Description

We are seeking fantastic Housekeepers to provide excellent service to our seniors here at Capital Manor. This position is 40 hours per week on a set daytime schedule which may include weekends. If you are looking for a rewarding job, a great place to work and want to be part of a team apply today!

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide a clean and safe environment our residents can be proud of. Performs general housekeeping duties in living units, such as: vacuuming, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all surfaces.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by the Director and the Environmental Services Supervisor.
  • Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by the Director and the Environmental Services Supervisor.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Professional housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must work independently with little supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the shift. Must be able to stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching, and stretching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances. Must be able to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have continual contact with residents. May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, covid, HIV and hepatitis. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals.
