Description

  • Manages work activities of cleaning personnel of Environmental Services Department by performing the following personally or through subordinate supervisors.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Supervises preparation of work schedules for EVS staff.
  • Trains staff in all necessary EVS tasks according to EVS procedures
  • Monitors performance of staff and adherence to casino policies and procedures.
  • Issues supplies and equipment as required.
  • Arranges for repair of cleaning equipment.
  • Maintains and updates cleaning supplies inventory. Submits requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Coordinates activities of outside vendors providing services and/or equipment for casino environment.
  • Serves as liaison between the casino and Maintenance.
  • May perform duties of supervisors and staff as required.
  • Complies with the Standard Operation Procedures within Environmental Services Department.
  • Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees of the EVS Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of EVS staff.
  • Provide excellent guest service.
  • Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACRM and ACPS System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications


Required Education and/or Experience

 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4-6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 years supervisory experience
  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1  mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment.
  • Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
