Friends University is seeking to fill the Head Coach for Women's Volleyball position in Wichita Kansas. The Head Coach for Women's Volleyball provides leadership and direction for all aspects of the NAIA intercollegiate volleyball program. The coach is responsible for fostering a culture of academic success, athletic excellence, meeting recruitment goals, and character/spiritual development consistent with the mission and values of the university and principles of the NAIA's Champions of Character initiative. This position may supervise assistants, graduate assistants, and interns. While standard business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, the successful candidate must be available for evening and weekend work based on game schedules and practice.

Qualifications
Three years of successful coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred. Ability to recruit and develop student athletes. Knowledge of NAIA rules and compliance process preferred.
Bachelor's degree is required, Master's preferred.
Strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals, strategy, and player development. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to foster a culture of respect, integrity and academic success. Must be able to multi-task and be a part of a fast paced demanding environment.
Ability to maintain confidential information, strong time management and leadership development skills. Must be able to work in a variety of weather and able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
