The base pay scale for this position is $29.15 - $30.21. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.What you will be doing

Responds to customer concerns as soon as possible with compassion and understanding; offers suggestions to improve satisfaction, as applicable.
-Complies with policies and procedures concerning infection control and safety in order to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.
-Manages time appropriately to meet patient, department and hospital needs.
-Communicates requests/problems to the appropriate person in a timely manner. Reports operational issues on a timely basis to supervision.
-Recognizes own limitations and seeks guidance when indicated.
-Assumes responsibility without close supervision.
-Follows through on assignment and directives.
-Cleans and sanitizes according to regulatory standards. This includes kitchen equipment, pots/pans/utensils, dishware, food preparation surfaces and work/storage areas. Disposes trash according department standards.
-Handles/protects food according to NYC Health Department standards.
-Maintains flow of food/supplies according to operating standards.
-Prepares menu offerings according to recipe. Portions ingredients according to standard. Utilizes historic data/forecast to minimize food waste.
-Provides meal service to patients, family members and visitors according to meal service standards.
-Maintains and develops competence through required in-service and continuing educational programs.
-Promotes a professional atmosphere through courteous communication, cooperation, and respect for patients, visitors and members of the health care team.
-Cooperates with other staff in maintaining team process and productive work flow in area.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent (G. E.D.), may include specialized or vocational courses
