The Opportunity
This role is hybrid and based in Denver, Colorado. Candidates must be able to live and work locally in the Denver area.
We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Product Manager to join our team dedicated to optimizing the Insurance Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) for Orthodontic practices. This leader's primary focus is creating Peace of Mind for our Orthodontic practice partners and future proofing and strengthening the long-term scalability of our RCM product offerings.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead OrthoFi’s Insurance RCM product domain—driving innovation and optimization across the tools and experiences that help practices convert more patients from consultation to start.
This person will work closely with Engineering, RCM Operations, Data/Analytics, Vendors, Provider Partners and other RCM Product leadership to build and improve products that can be used streamline how practices configure and recommend treatment, Improve the accuracy of patient benefits and overall patient responsibility, Support the expansion of current services to support Medicaid, and partner with downstream products to build feedback loops that learn from downstream processes.
What You’ll Do:
Define and Drive Insurance RCM Strategy
- Define and Drive Insurance RCM Strategy: Own the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Insurance RCM platform, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and the specific needs of our orthodontic practice partners.
- Conduct continuous market research, competitive analysis, and partner interviews to identify emerging trends, regulatory shifts, and unmet needs in the orthodontic RCM space.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) related to RCM efficiency, revenue realization, and practice partner satisfaction.
Drive Revenue Assurance & Benefit Accuracy
- Define and own the benefit accuracy improvement roadmap, with a specific focus on optimizing how carriers adjudicate orthodontic and dental claims.
- Translate complex payer rules, orthodontic doctor fee schedules, and contract rates into system configurations and predictive models that dramatically improve estimate precision.
- Partner with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and RCM operations to capture denial trends, underpayments, and payer exceptions, feeding these critical insights back into product improvements (the Claims IQ feedback loop).
Leverage Data and Analytics
- Leverage Data and Analytics: Partner deeply with data and analytics teams to leverage large datasets (claims, EOBs, contracts) to model payer behavior, calculate claim success likelihoods, and develop smart claim routing logic.
- Generate proprietary data insights to inform product feature prioritization, measure financial impact, and drive 'build vs. buy' decisions for core capabilities.
Lead Benefit Verification Automation
- Lead all automation projects, spanning EDI benefit flows, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) workflows, conversational/voice AI, and third-party vendor integrations.
- Evaluate current manual verification efforts and define scalable, data-backed automation strategies that significantly reduce operational effort and costs.
Improve Treatment Estimation & Patient Responsibility
- Improve the configuration and utilization of eligibility, benefit data, contract pricing, and practice fee schedules to generate precise insurance payment and patient responsibility estimates, tailored to orthodontic treatment plans.
- Ensure product capabilities fully support treatment plan accuracy at the point of presentation, minimizing future adjustments and mitigating revenue leakage.
Support Medicaid & Product Extension
- Direct the product expansion to support Medicaid-specific requirements, including documentation needs, authorization workflows, eligibility, and payment structures.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Operations teams to successfully operationalize Medicaid onboarding and ongoing support.

- Reduced Manual Effort in benefit verification through guided, scaled automation.
- Clear, measurable improvement in claim success rates and reduction in payment cycle time.
- Scalable platform capabilities that successfully support additional payer segments, including Medicaid.
- A strong, data-driven feedback loop established between Operations, Product, and Engineering.
What You’ll Bring:
- 7+ years of Product Management experience
- Deep, demonstrable understanding of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), ideally in orthodontic / dental insurance.
- Proven experience translating operational workflows and payer policies into scalable, high-impact product solutions.
- Comfortable working extensively with structured healthcare data (e.g., Explanation of Benefits/EOBs, payer eligibility files, contract rates).
- Strong ability to partner cross-functionally across Engineering, Operations, and Business teams, and drive clarity from ambiguity.
- A systems thinker mentality, with an understanding of how to build and evolve products to be increasingly smarter and more automated over time.

Compensation: $120,000 - $145,000
