$92,061.00 - $119,704.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE:Completes defined scope and standards of practice. Engages in environmental scanning to identify practice gaps and collaborates with others in improving practice and healthcare outcomes. Functions as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty, and partner for practice transitions. Supports learning, change, professional role competence and growth, which ultimately lead to optimal patient care, population health, and protection of the public.
Full-time position available (40 hours). Primarily days with E/N support as needed.
Advance clinical excellent and learning in the Pediatric ED. The NPD Practitioner will design and deliver education, lead nursing policy and practice updates, and build capability for both new and experienced nursing staff. Partner with Peds ED provider and nursing leadership and NPD practitioner/CNS/CNL colleagues in the Golisano Children’s Hospital, to drive consistent, high-reliability care. Key responsibilities include: Lead unit education strategy aligned to clinical priorities Collaborate with unit leadership and staff to develop and evaluate orientation for RNs using competency-based methods. Provide ongoing education for incumbent staff, based on ongoing needs assessment. Translate evidence into practice and work collaboratively to track patient care outcomes. Develop, revise, and advise on pediatric nursing policies, maintaining review cycles and regulatory alignment. Partner with Quality & Safety and Infection Prevention on educational needs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to standardize practice to work towards optimal patient outcomes. Master’s degree required; pediatric emergency nursing experience (3 years minimum) and PALS certification required. NPD Certification preferred.
