FX QA Tech 1 - Industrial Engineer Intern chez Flexco Floors

• Work closely with production to create or modify existing work instructions, documenting standard operating procedures, and creating process specification parameters for various products and machines.
• Performing time study analysis and work sampling for critical machine operations to improve process flow and efficiency.
• Process mapping product flow streams for training and management analysis.
• Prepare technical reports for management.
• Interact with other Flexco Engineers and production employees to assist project development.
• Working with production and management to perform production trials using statistical analysis to identify optimum machine parameters.
• Ability to perform manual tasks under varying temperatures conditions in usually an indoor manufacturing environment.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Semi-moderate to moderate physical activity.
  • Including but not limited to sitting, standing, hand/arm manipulation, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, seeing, touching/feeling, hearing, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• Excellent organizational skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent judgment for engineering analysis and project management techniques
• Detail-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines, working both independently and with others
• Knowledge of mathematics, and mechanical knowledge
• High level of creativity, critical thinking and complex problem solving
• Meet or exceed all items listed in the experience and education, and equipment and materials sections.
• Intermediate abilities with computers and electronics
• Must have a passion for improving production efficiencies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
