We are seeking a skilled and dependable Rebuild Mechanic to join our team in Catoosa, OK. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with reciprocating engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment to disassemble, repair, rebuild, and overhaul natural gas compressor packages while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. You’ll work as part of a crew under the direction of Supervisors and Team Leads, collaborating closely with other team members to ensure all work meets technical specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. This position is ideal for a mechanically minded, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. 


Requirements


Essential Job Functions:

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble reciprocating engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, calipers) to assess part dimensions and integrity.
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze inspection results and develop effective repair plans.
  • Handle, store, and organize components to prevent damage or loss.
  • Perform reassembly of repaired or replaced components according to technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Oversee and sign off on test runs and quality assurance checks.
  • Operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts as required.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company HSE procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Record parts and materials used, process requisitions, and report inventory needs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, read prints, and determine replacement parts needed.
  • Work overtime, nights, or weekends as required by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience rebuilding reciprocating compressors and/or industrial engines.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments and alignment tools.
  • Ability to read prints, understand technical specifications, and perform basic math functions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have own tools for the role.
  • Reliable transportation is required; relocation assistance not provided.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to pass the background and MVR check, drug and alcohol screen, and physical exam.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical Demands:


This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting while working on reciprocating engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment. Mechanics must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts, and work safely at heights or in tight spaces. Work may involve exposure to noise, heat, oil, grease, and other industrial hazards. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots is required, along with sufficient visual and auditory acuity to safely perform all duties.
