This new position is due to SCADD’s growth and expansion. We are looking for an experienced, strong clinical leader to make a significant and positive impact leading and overseeing identified programs inclusive of Outpatient Services, Central Access, Family Services, and Recreation & Wellness. This position requires local travel between SCADD's programs in New London, Lebanon and Norwich, CT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Provides proactive and responsive leadership to drive organizational goals, enhance service quality and promote a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Ensures clinical staff maintain accurate, complete and timely records that comply with regulatory standards and agency internal policy and procedure.
  • Coordinates with all members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care that is consistent and timely and to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes. 
  • Ensures provision of client education, individually and in group settings on relevant medical subjects including but not limited to MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) and overdose prevention.
  • Responsible for compliance with all state and local health, safety, and fire codes, including life safety codes.  Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of all clients, staff and visitors. 
  • Prepares weekly and monthly reports and ensures that they are accurate and submitted as required.
  • Interviews clients as needed, reviews records and confers with other professionals to evaluate the condition of client.
  • Develops quality initiatives to improve the performance of the program and client experience and track performance and implementations with concrete data and processes informed by the policy.
  • Reviews program budgets regularly; monitors and responds to any lines that are over or under budget.  Ensures that utilization review protocols are followed to maximize reimbursement of services.
  • Makes recommendations to the Executive team about new initiatives and services as required to meet community needs.
  • Serves as backup to provide direct care services as necessary.
  • Monitors proper utilization review protocol to insure reimbursement of services 
  • Participates in internal and external meetings as needed, including quality assurance meetings, administrative meetings, and meetings with State partners and/or funders. 

 Qualifications: 

Requires a Master's degree in the behavioral health field with an independent licensure in social work (LCSW), counseling (LPC), marriage and family therapy (LMFT) or substance use (LADC); LCSW or LPC is preferred. A minimum of 4-6 years' experience is required with progressive supervisory and leadership responsibility.
