Lead Preschool Teacher – The Gardner School of Lake Elmo-Woodbury | Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field required

Position Overview

The Gardner School of Lake Elmo-Woodbury is seeking a warm, engaging, and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to guide a classroom of young learners. You will help create a space where children feel safe, supported, and inspired every day. As a leader in the classroom, you will model curiosity, connection, and a commitment to making a positive impact on each child and family you support.

Qualifications

  • Teacher qualification under Minnesota Department of Human Services requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an early childhood education setting (lead or co-lead experience preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required

  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

  • Understanding of early learning best practices and child development

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a positive, professional approach

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (required)

  • Regular and reliable attendance

Skills & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to foster an engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment

  • Able to adapt instruction to meet diverse individual learning needs

  • Active involvement throughout the day, including standing, sitting on the floor, bending, and lifting up to ~60 lbs

  • Ability to meet cognitive and interpersonal demands including speaking, hearing, reading, writing, focusing attention, and building relationships

  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
