On-Call Rehabilitation Department Driver

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, provides safe and courteous transportation to clients participating in rehabilitation programs.
Essential Functions:
- Provides safe, courteous transportation to clients participating in the rehabilitation programs.
- Maintains cleanliness, fueling, and operational readiness of assigned vehicles.
- Drives staff when necessary to perform professional activities.
- Demonstrates quality customer service as perceived by all customer groups and is ethical in relationships with consumers, coworkers, families, visitors, and members of the community.
- Assists clients with mobility aids, adaptive tools, and personal items during entry and exit from vehicles.
- Supports off-site training activities and field trips as needed by the instructional team.
- Communicate promptly with staff and clients regarding schedule changes or delays.
Additional Functions:
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and mid-afternoons
- Available for on-call driving assignments with 48 hours' notice
- Ability to use own vehicle or company fleet vehicle (mileage tracking required)
Working Conditions:
- Considerable daily travel, usually within a 20-mile radius of campus
