Position: Senior Accountant 
Reports To: Controller
Division: Administration
FSLA: Exempt
Office Location: Remote- Hybrid (if close to one of our office locations)

Position Overview
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting timely financial reporting. This position is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities, contributing directly to the integrity of the organization’s financial data and processes.

Essential Responsibilities

Core Accounting Functions

• Prepare and reconcile account balances, bank statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain organized and accurate supporting documentation for all accounting records.
• Manage and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures.
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and internal accounting policies.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

   Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.

  Skills

• Demonstrated experience applying GAAP in financial reporting and accounting operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  Technical Tools

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Connectwise.

Work Environment & Travel

• Professional office environment using standard office equipment
• Minimal travel may be required.

Additional Information

The Senior Accountant may perform other duties or special projects as assigned to support department or company objectives.
