About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner who shares our commitment to integrity, collaboration, and innovation. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will provide expert financial support and insight to teams delivering life changing healthcare projects and initiatives.
You’ll be a key link between finance and operations helping budget holders plan effectively, manage resources responsibly, and understand the financial impact of their decisions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with teams across the organisation to provide financial advice, support, and challenge.
- Lead on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support project teams with financial information for external funders and stakeholders.
- Identify and deliver process improvements across financial systems and reporting.
- Support month-end, year-end, payroll, and VAT return processes.
- Deputise for the Senior Finance Manager when required.
About You
You will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or bring equivalent experience, with a strong background in financial management, analysis, and business partnering.
You will also bring:
- Experience engaging confidently with colleagues at all levels.
- The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences.
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent IT and Excel skills.
- (Desirable) Experience within healthcare, research, or the not-for-profit sector.

We offer flexible working arrangements and support hybrid working at UCLPartners. All staff will typically spend a minimum of 40% of their working time at the UCLPartners office i.e. for a minimum of 2 days/week if full-time or 40% of your working time for part-time staff. This can be averaged over a 3-month period.
