DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
This unit has a highly experienced team that supports 12-inpatient/outpatient operating rooms, performing surgical procedures to restore and enhance the lives of patients.
This unit operates Monday through Friday, with coverage necessary to support the inpatient operating room with rotations of weekends and off-shifts at least quarterly.
We have a complex team that consist of nurses, surgical technicians, Operating room aids, Anesthesia techs, Residents, Surgeons and Anesthesia providers.
Patient Population: Adult and Pediatric, Inpatient and Outpatient.
Specialized Care Provided: Neurosurgical and Spine, General/GYN/Colorectal, Pain/Podiatry, CMF/Plastics, Urology, ENT/Dental, Orthopedics, Ophthalmic, IVF.
The Nurse Managers responsibilities are centralized within five major areas: Clinical Practice and Quality Outcomes, Human Resource Leadership, Management of the Environment, Financial Growth and Stewardship, and Strategic Planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BSN Required, Master’s Preferred.
Certified Registered Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
Experience: At least five years RN experience, supervisor/leadership experience required.
Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Current American Heart Association BLS Health Care Provider certification required.
