Job Summary: The Senior Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations within a food manufacturing environment. This role oversees procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strategic vision, operational excellence, and deep industry knowledge to drive continuous improvement and support business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to optimize supply chain processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Director is a key position that will aggressively pursue strategies for continuous improvement in cost reduction, supply management, material planning and control and integration of supply chain elements.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies aligned with business growth.
  • Manage and optimize the supply chain, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and sales teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Collaborate with teams across operations, quality assurance, and finance to drive supply chain excellence
  • Oversee sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.
  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, sustainability practices, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of supply chain management, vendor partnerships, manufacturing operations, quality assurance and food safety within a multi-unit food manufacturing environment,
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
