The Payroll Analyst with Ruiz Foods will be responsible for the end-to-end running of one or more payroll groups, reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, reporting and analytics, and accounting entries and reconciliations as related to the payroll and HR department. Being conscientious, accurate, efficient, and organized are all expected of the individual filling this role.

COMPENSATION: $75,000 - $90,000/Year DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining accurate and complete employee records across the organization
  • Time and Attendance reporting and accuracy
  • Calculating and processing of weekly payroll
  • Preparing and verifying payment records
  • Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Report to management on payroll issues and changes
  • Preparing payroll reports and data analysis
  • Perform system data audits
  • Payroll related account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Ensuring all payroll activities are and remain fully compliant with company policy and relevant legislation.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Education: BS in Human Resource Management, Accounting, or similar field
  • Experience: Experience in payroll and/or finance with a minimum of 3-4 years.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with HRIS (UKG Preferred), Advances Excel, data analysis tools,  and all other MS office applications.
  • Proven track record of detail focus and accuracy
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
