Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be working out of our World Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ. This is a fulltime position and may require occasional overtime.  This role will perform building maintenance and repair work in areas such as electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical equipment repair, and forklift & scissor lift repair.  Participation in various stages of remodeling and renovation will also be expected, utilizing the strengths of the facilities team.  This role will be expected to work both independently and within a team throughout various projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Performs scheduled maintenance tasks to support manufacturing, assembly, and office areas.
  • Detect, report, and repair defective equipment, damage, and any questionable conditions, communicating findings to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
  • Repair facilities equipment, tools, and related systems as needed.
  • Conduct inspections of buildings and grounds at all NJ locations and report findings to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

General:

  • Demonstrate integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision when needed.
  • Works effectively in a team environment and communicates clearly with colleagues, vendors, and supervisors.
  • Previous experience in a facilities maintenance or similar technical/building-related role is required.
  • Ability to work from heights on ladders and lifts.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Technical Skills:

  • Troubleshooting and working with 120-480V systems as well as low voltage control systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to determine root cause of equipment failure and think through operations and functions of new equipment, including researching and interpreting equipment documentation and schematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Familiar with diagnosing failed motors, contactors, capacitors, and common electrical components.

Hourly Rate:

  • $25-30/hr, depending on experience
