Position: Electro Mechanic

Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Schedule: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift; 8, 10, or 12-hour days; weekdays or weekends; 40+ hours per week


About the Role:

Be part of something new and exciting at Bridor USA’s brand-new Industrial Baking Facility in Salt Lake City! We’re looking for a skilled Electro Mechanic to play a key role in launching and maintaining our state-of-the-art production lines. This position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge equipment, troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, and contribute to the success of a modern, high-performance facility. Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairs

  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and document work in detail

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment

  • Fabricate parts, structures, and equipment as needed using shop tools

  • Install and connect new production equipment to ensure proper functioning

  • Assist in developing computerized preventive maintenance programs

  • Follow GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and all safety and regulatory guidelines

  • Collaborate with QA, production, and maintenance teams to maintain high operational standards


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Electro Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting; 1 year in the food industry preferred

  • Strong troubleshooting, electrical, and mechanical skills

  • Licensed electrician preferred

  • Experience with fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and computerized maintenance systems

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


Skills:

  • Apply preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime

  • Operate and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Perform fabrication, welding, and confined-space maintenance as needed

  • Collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams

  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs to keep production running efficiently
