Position Summary
This role assists Warehouse leadership with daily shipping/receiving operations and procedures in the warehouse. Responsible for completing and maintaining records of shipments, product orders and other shipping and/or receiving paperwork.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the Transportation Management System (TMS) is consistently updated with current logistics.
- Schedule for inbound and outbound appointments at multiple warehouses.
- Facilitate driver check-ins/outs and manage dock placements for efficiency.
- Maintain effective communication with both internal and external customers.
- Handle the RIL report to minimize shrinkage, collaborate with Customer Service, process necessary paperwork, and print Bills of Lading for logistics activities.
- Scan and send trailer maps and BOLs after driver departures, assign certificates and generate tags for incoming materials.
- Enter daily shipping data, manage shipping reports, and ensure accurate inventory data entry.
- Verify records of all shipments and maintain the dock schedule with carrier confirmations.
- Distribute Bills of Lading and pick lists and provide shipping documents to the planning and scheduling department.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Experienced in handling various materials.
- Ability to handle phone calls and maintain a professional standard.
- Ability to handle Electronic and Sensitive Devices (ESD)
- Good communication skills, team player, computer skills, excel, etc.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
