Job Summary
As a Team Lead, you will serve as a vital link between our frontline employees and management—driving operational excellence, teamwork, and a positive work environment. In this hands-on role, you’ll lead by example to ensure production goals are achieved, quality standards are met, and team members receive the training and support they need to succeed. This position requires the constant lifting of 75 lb wooden CHEP pallets, auditing pallets to vendor specifications, and working closely with vendor representatives on a weekly basis to ensure all repair and quality guidelines are met. You will also be responsible for training pallet repairers, tracking their progress, and maintaining consistent communication with management to uphold operational and safety standards.
Work Schedule
- 1st Shift: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm (Monday – Friday)
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour to start
- 90 day 50 Cent progression
- 1 year 50 cent progression
- Annually 50 cent progression

What You’ll Be Doing
- Training and Development: Train, mentor, and evaluate pallet repairers while maintaining accurate training logs and progress records.
- Quality and Auditing: Constantly lift, handle, and inspect 75 lb wooden CHEP pallets to ensure they meet customer and vendor specifications.
- Vendor Relations: Collaborate weekly with vendor representatives to ensure repair and quality guidelines are consistently met.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Production Goals: Provide clear direction and set priorities to help your team meet or exceed daily production targets.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate pallet inventory, prepare reports, and correct discrepancies.
- Shift Transitions: Ensure smooth transitions between shifts and proper setup of work areas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with site and division management to identify and address any operational, safety, or training needs.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to meet production goals and maintain operational quality standards.
- Solid analytical skills to review reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience with scheduling, performance management, and timekeeping.
- Ability to train, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong understanding of operational standards related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard business systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Capable of repeatedly lifting and moving pallets and materials, which may be heavy.
- Requires good manual dexterity and tactile sensitivity for inspecting pallet condition.
- Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent vision (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus) for inspecting pallets and observing surroundings for safety.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels. Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required.
