Description

The Ranch Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient operation of Whispering Hope Ranch facilities, grounds, equipment, and animal herd. This role ensures all maintenance, repairs, and animal care activities are completed to support the Ranch’s mission and programs. The Ranch Coordinator manages schedules, supervises staff and contractors, and maintains compliance with safety and operational standards.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Facilities & Grounds Management

  • Develop and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for buildings, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Inspect facilities and grounds for hazards; recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and supervise repairs, replacements, and upgrades as approved.

Vendor & Inventory Coordination

  • Oversee maintenance contractors and service providers.
  • Maintain a reference log of vendors and contractors.
  • Oversee inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; ensure timely replenishment.

Administrative & Reporting

  • Administer database/spreadsheet of work orders, assets, and maintenance records.
  • Provide input on facility needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Complete reports and additional assignments as directed by supervisor.

Animal Care Oversight

  • Supervise routine care and wellbeing of the Ranch’s animal herd.
  • Ensure compliance with Ranch’s animal health and safety standards.

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

 


Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in ranch operations, facilities management, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance, repairs, and animal care practices.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform outdoor work in varying conditions.
  • Comfortable working around animals and operating ranch equipment.

Training, Education, Experience Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must have a clean driving record for past 5 years
