The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing Corporate and Social events with or without sleeping rooms and ensuring group and meeting planner satisfaction. This position will require experience with contract negotiations, event planning, menu selection, and servicing groups as it relates to catering and convention services. Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food %26amp; Beverage, Meeting Room Rental, menu upsells, and special VIP requests. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during, and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service. This individual will also be responsible for preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems to provide Banquet Event Orders and generate group billing estimates, and coordinating customer service requests required by the client. Event Sales Managers will also conduct hotel tours, maintain strong customer relationships, participate and may lead event meetings, sales, and other staff meetings.
