​​Job Summary:​ 

US Display Group, Inc., a premier manufacturer of Point of Purchase displays. The Machine Material Coordinator will assist in the production process by overseeing to guarantee that all our products meet quality and customer expectations. 

Position Overview: 

This position is responsible for all activities associated with the process of overseeing all the ink supply and tooling needed for the proper operation of the machine's centers  

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Machine and Assistant Machine Operator as assigned by supervisor in attaining the correct ink color on press.   

  • Adheres to production schedule. 

  • Monitors all ink mixing drums, totes, and mixers to ensure things are running properly – if not escalates to Supervisor so it can be reported to maintenance. 

  • Assist on checking pH as assigned by supervisor 

  • Work with Prepress when an LAB reading is needed 

  • Orders or initiates orders for the various ink bases based on inventory on hand. 

  • Ability to recognize and distinguish all colors. 

  • Maintain accuracy of scales for weighing ink by keeping the scale clean and reporting any issues. 

  • Perform end-of-month inventories of all inks and ink bases, report non-use of inks to supervisors on a monthly basis. 

  • Pulls cutting dies from warehouse as assigned by Supervisor 

  • Stage cutting and printing dies for production at machine centers, remove when job is complete from machine centers.  

  • Mount basic shipper print dies.  

  • Calculates ink required based on qty, print and percentage of coverage for each order 

  • Maintain ink kitchen orderly 

  • Conduct weekly pm on dispenser 

  • Wash empty ink buckets and lids in order to reuse them 

  • Keep track of print plates, mylars and cutting dies, and update die lists daily by reporting information to Support Services Assistant. 

  • Leads and is responsible for managing die purges in accordance with our process 

  • Properly disposes of dry ink drums 

  • Forklift certified 

  • Assist production operators when requested.  

  • Other duties as assigned 

Secondary Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Production Supervisor in special projects.  

  • Unload trucks when requested. 

  • Promote safety.  

  • Promote good housekeeping.  

  • Promote quality.  

  • Promote good environmental practices.  

  • Maintains organization at all times 

  • Perform inspections of products, when needed. 

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures 

Qualifications


Physical Demand:   

Personal protective equipment – such as eye protection, hearing protection, foot protection, cut resistant gloves, or other special protective equipment – is necessary to reduce hazard exposure. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles. Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise level moderately loud, and moving machines/equipment.  The employee also works in close proximity to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gravitational, thermal, and mechanical energy sources.
