The qualified candidate must hold, or be eligible for, one of the following:

• An Iowa teaching license with a Business endorsement, or

• A valid Iowa Career and Technical Education (CTE) Authorization in a business-related pathway

Individuals coming from the business world may be eligible for a CTE Authorization based on relevant education or workplace experience, and Holy Family will support qualified candidates in this process. According to Iowa Department of Education guidance, individuals may obtain a CTE Authorization with one of the following:

• 6,000 hours of recent and relevant experience;

• 4,000 hours of experience if holding a bachelor’s degree;

• 3,000 hours of experience with an associate degree in the field;

• A bachelor’s degree in the endorsement area; or

• A bachelor’s degree in any field with 18 credit hours in business-related coursework
