Job Description
- The Facility Operations Manager – IFM Governance acts as the key owner of all Integrated Facility Management (IFM) services across LEGO Manufacturing Virginia, ensuring that service delivery, performance, compliance, and cost management meet LEGO Group standards and business expectations.
- This role provides operational governance and partnership oversight of the IFM provider, ensuring smooth collaboration, structured reporting, and continuous improvement across all facilities operations areas – including maintenance, cleaning, security, reception, logistics support, and workplace experience.
Governance & Performance Management
- Lead the governance framework for the IFM contract across the LVA site (and associated facilities).
- Ensure robust SLA/KPI measurement, tracking, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Supervise day-to-day operational alignment between LEGO LVA and the IFM provider to secure high-quality, safe, and efficient operations.
- Maintain partner concern routes and issue management process for all IFM-related topics.
- Own monthly performance reporting and continuous improvement pipeline.
Financial & Contract Management
- Ensure budget adherence, cost transparency, and proactive forecasting of facility operational expenses.
- Support the Facility Director in annual budgeting, variance analysis, and contract governance.
- Lead change control and scope adjustments with the IFM provider in coordination with Procurement and WS&O HQ.
Compliance & Safety
- Drive alignment with LEGO Group standards, legal requirements, and EHS policies.
- Supervise IFM partner compliance with site safety protocols, training, and audits.
- Support the Compliance & EHS Specialist on inspections, incident reporting, and documentation.
Operations Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Find opportunities for efficiency, digitalization, and workplace experience improvements.
- Benchmark service quality and implement global standard processes in IFM delivery.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and operational learning within the LVA Facilities team.
Team member & Partner Management
- Act as the primary LEGO contact for IFM governance at LVA.
- Build positive relationships with both internal team members (Operations, HR, Finance, EHS, Engineering) and external vendors.
- Ensure alignment of IFM operations with production schedules and site priorities.

- Experience in facilities management, ideally in a manufacturing or campus environment.
- Demonstrated experience handling or governing IFM partnerships and large service contracts.
- Strong financial literacy and understanding of operational budgets and cost drivers.
Skills & Proficiencies
- Excellent partner management and negotiation skills.
- Structured, data-driven, and able to translate operational data into insight and action.
- Deep understanding of facility management fields (maintenance, cleaning, security, catering, workplace experience).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across organizational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and digital FM systems (Planon, DALUX, or similar).
- Note: This position is based at our LEGO Virginia manufacturing factory located in Richmond. This is not a remote position.
Compensation
The salary for this position has a range of $100,799.00 - $151,199.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
