Support information technology (IT) through financial stewardship and business analysis. Responsible for managing IT financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, software licensing, and vendor coordination while also serving as a key liaison between business units and IT project teams. Gather and document business requirements, support project planning, and ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Tracks and manages software licenses, renewal dates, and associated costs in coordination with business owners.
- Creates, reconciles, and reports on all IT purchases, vendor invoices, and IT expenses.
- Forecasts future software and licensing needs and ensures timely renewals to avoid service disruptions.
- Assists with budget preparation, tracking, and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Conducts quarterly audits of user access across platforms to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
- Collaborates with vendors to obtain quotes for renewals, new services, and contract negotiations.
- Maintains accurate IT asset inventory and supports lifecycle management.
- Gathers, documents, and analyzes business requirements for projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Supports development of RFPs, RFFs, and Non-Compete Forms for procurement processes.
- Facilitates communication between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Analyzes operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in financial related project requirement gathering as a subject matter expert in financial processes, testing, and project deliverables.
- Develop and maintain user training materials and process documentation.
- Create/Track/Reconcile/Report on all IT Project Financials
- Generates and delivers financial and operational reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Establishes protocols to optimize communication and data integration across systems and teams.
- Supports IT in coordinating outage communications and resolution efforts.
- No supervisory/management authority.
- Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, information systems, technology, or other related field and five (5) years of financial analysis and/or budgeting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four (4) years of experience as a business analyst supporting ERP systems or enterprise IT projects preferred.
- Experience managing software licensing, renewals, and vendor relationships.
- Experience developing and maintaining training materials, process documentation, and user support content.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of business processes in one or more areas such as finance, accounting, procurement, human resources, payroll, asset management, or time and labor.
- Knowledge of purchase request workflows, and vendor management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills which includes the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to gather and document business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and support project delivery from inception to completion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, influence stakeholders, and adapt communication styles to various audiences.
