The Program Director of Home Community Based Services is responsible to establish, direct and
coordinate the overall operation of Residential and Day Services in a manner that provides quality
services with dignity, fair treatment of employees and maintains ongoing liaison between the
professional personnel and the support staff. While the Program Director will be given all practical
latitude in specific steps to accomplish these tasks, each must be accomplished in a manner fully
consistent with regulatory agencies and in compliance with policies and procedures of Medicalodges,
Inc.
The Program Director of the agency advocates for persons with disabilities to become as
independent as possible within the community. It is the responsibility of the Program Director to
support and promote self-advocacy, empowering individuals served to make their own decisions and
establish their preferred lifestyle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
The Program Director is responsible to direct, monitor and coordinate the overall operation of home community based services, day services and residential services.
Direct, monitor and coordinate procedures that all services are provided to enable individuals to achieve their preferred lifestyle.
Direct, monitor and coordinate procedures which monitor that the individual’s physical, mental, and psychosocial well being is being meet within practical reason and in relation to the person’s capabilities.
Direct and monitor company policies and procedures, standards of conduct and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
Supervise and assist in the hiring, training, and evaluation of personnel in residential and day services. While some of these may be delegated, the Program Director will be responsible that proper hiring, employment procedures and documentation requirements are followed, that required licenses and/or certifications are current, that education for all personnel in the agency is conducted on a continuous basis. Must maintain all employees and consumers’ records per state and federal laws and per the CDDO and Medicalodges, Inc. policy and procedure.
Conduct meetings with all staff on at least a monthly basis to review problems in need of correction and any other conditions which do not meet state and federal laws and CDDO and Medicalodges, Inc. policy and procedures.
Prepare, submit and maintain all records/reports required by the Agency Director, State and Federal agencies, the CDDO and Medicalodges, Inc. in an accurate and timely manner.
Regularly review job descriptions and performance of all personnel working in the residential and day services. Regularly review policies and procedures for all departments and recommend changes, as appropriate to the Agency Director.
Document and report all grievances to the Agency Director within 24 hours of being reported by an individual, staff or family member.
Directs monitors and evaluates consumer programs/person center plan and prepares needed reports for interdisciplinary team review and Human Rights Committee.
Assist with marketing of New Hope Services.
Maintain current and valid driver’s license of the state of residence and be determined as an “insurable driver” per Medicalodges, Inc. policy and procedures. Must provide insurance documentation on private vehicles of liability coverage insurance.
Will comply with all federal, state and local laws regarding communicable and infectious diseases.
Perform such other duties as may be directed by the Agency Director which will improve the quality of life for the consumers, enhance the image of the agency in the community, promote proper treatment of employees and permit the agency to function in, compliance with rules and regulation in a fiscally sound manner which will continue to improve the quality of services offered.
Responsible for working hours as scheduled.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Four year degree in healthcare and/or business degree.
Experience in the ID/DD field.
Minimally two years of supervisory or administrative experience in the ID/DD field or an appropriate qualified professional.
