Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Engaging with our design team to produce shop drawings for review by DOTs, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, architects or construction managers
- Revising and resubmitting drawings based on responses to comments from the project review team
- Printing (plotting) drawings for review, approval, and final stamping
- Preparing conceptual elevation views, support schemes, geotechnical cross-sections (using data from geotechnical borings)
- Preparing as-built drawings and final project closeout of drawing work
- Performing preliminary CAD layouts to assist estimating team with takeoffs, quantities, preliminary drawing set-up, etc.
- Updating and improving upon company standards and templates, as required
- Preparing visual aids illustrating our ground improvement systems for potential clients to enhance proposals and quotes
- Communicating with clients, engineers and architects, as required

- Ability to work independently on projects

- Ability to prioritize assignments while working on competing projects
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Civil3D or BIM software a plus
Education and Experience Requirements
Associate’s or technical degree with AutoCAD being a major component. 3-5 years of experience using AutoCAD on a daily basis. Prior experience with civil, geotechnical construction and techniques a plus (i.e. drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, or geotechnical work).
