POSITION SUMMARY:
Drive full cycle recruiting and onboarding for Optometrists and Independent Doctors of Optometry. Identify and source OD’s for current openings and future growth. Coordinate interviews. Develop employment marketing collateral and coordinate social recruiting efforts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SOURCE AND ENGAGE CANDIDATES AND BUILD TALENT PIPELINE
• Proactively develop talent pipelines to address current business trends and future growth
• Identify and locate candidates through innovative search methods
• Contribute to creative and engaging hiring campaigns, including job postings and outreach material
• Build and maintain network of potential candidates through on-going relationship and contact information management
• Promote and manage external and campus position postings
• Gather competitive data and recommendations for best-in-class employment practices
• Stay current with industry trends
CAMPUS OUTREACH
• Develop and maintain partnerships with optometry schools
• Contribute to Fielmann USA’s campus strategy including career fairs, interviews, and other partnerships
• Research, recommend and develop competitive programs to attract top talent, including student re-payment or tuition reimbursement
• Develop and manage programs to retain Fielmann USA opticians attending optometry schools
OPTOMETRIST HIRING
• Collaborate with Professional Services to present and negotiate job offers
• Ensure all hiring processes are complete
• Evaluate pay, benefit and PTO trends and present recommendations based on competitive analysis and candidate experiences
DOCTOR ONBOARDING
• Coordinate contract process and bonus agreements
• Initiate onboarding activities, including credentialing instructions
• Collaborate with Regional/Market and General/Office Managers to execute onboarding plans
• Coordinate referral program
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate setting or retail health industry
• Previous Applicant Tracking System experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently
• Able to work at all levels of the organization
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Broad based HR exposure desired
• Knowledge of employment law desired
• Solid internet search experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication
• Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)
• Able to read and write at a high school graduate level
• Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds
• Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines
• Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development
