Job Description
· Manage the production team in the day-to-day performance of their job duties.
- Plan and establish staffing requirements and production work schedules to support customer deliveries
· Support the integrated product teams and production schedules (dispatch) prioritizing workload and schedules. Update the team and track progress against the production plan
· Provide production process analysis and recommend solutions for process improvements
· Work with the engineering team on production sequences to maximize productivity
· Ensure that department/project milestones are met
· Work with other departments to ensure the flow of materials and parts are received when needed.
· Provide input regarding hiring, training, and other personnel related decisions
· Handle disciplinary situations within the department
· Perform mid year and annual personnel evaluations for the team members
· Administer Company policies and procedures
· Adhere to approved budgets
· Assist in providing a safe and healthy working environment for the team
· Focus on quality performance and continuous improvement
· Read and interpret blueprints to direct build and advise on requirments and reduce rework/scrap
· Develop training plans for the department to improve flexibility/efficiency
· Recommend shop floor flow modifications to enhance production efficiency
· Other job-related duties as assigned or as necessary
