DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

        OF POSITION:

Position requires the following:

           ·          Experience with providing small-group reading and math

             instruction both in and out of the classroom setting

           ·          Experience with student assessment and data analysis

           ·          Ability to collaborate well with classroom teachers and support

             staff with all aspects of math and literacy

           ·          Experience with assessing and diagnosing reading/math

             difficulties and with planning specific intervention to improve and

             remediate student achievement

           ·          Expertise with a wide variety of reading/math programs and best

             practice instructional techniques

           ·          Solid knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks

             including Common Core Curriculum Standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Massachusetts Elementary Teacher Certification
• Ample experience and expertise with Curriculum Frameworks
• Evidence of successful varied teaching experience with focus on foundational reading and math skills.
