Lead a high-performing team of technicians and first-line supervisors across multiple repair and maintenance product lines. In this pivotal role, you'll orchestrate departmental operations, optimize resource allocation, solve complex technical challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage product throughput across multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Optimize departmental schedules and resources to eliminate bottlenecks
- Partner with Engineering to implement robust test protocols and troubleshoot recurring issues
- Analyze performance metrics to drive improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality
- Lead cross-functional coordination with Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Supply Chain
- Champion workplace safety as a core value, demonstrating effective safety leadership
- Ensure product conformance with certification standards and engineering documentation
- Partner with Quality Assurance for proper calibration of tools and equipment
- Maintain documented processes and procedures across product lines
- Coach and develop diverse technical teams across shifts
- Communicate clear expectations, roles, and responsibilities
- Drive talent management through performance reviews and succession planning
- Collaborate with HR to implement effective recruitment and retention strategies
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Repair & Maintenance operations
- Minimum 5 years in supervisory positions leading technicians or front-line supervisors
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing operations, standards, and improvement techniques
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional improvements (5S, Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery
- Strong analytical skills to manage departmental KPIs and implement corrective actions
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to diverse stakeholders
- Experience applying Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Technical or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Working knowledge of integrated ERP systems
