WOAI/KABB is seeking an experienced Photographer/ Broadcast Video Journalist to join our team.
This role requires expertise in shooting and operating professional video cameras and related equipment, with a strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling. We're looking for someone who thrives in the fast-paced, deadline-driven environment of daily local news coverage. We want people who are creative, competitive and want to win!
- Be highly motivated with a proven track record in news production.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Be a natural problem solver who can meet constant deadlines across multiple platforms.
- 1–2 years of experience shooting and editing video content.
- Proficiency in editing and shooting general assignment stories, working alongside reporters, conducting live shots, and assembling packages.
- Passion for storytelling and strong non-linear editing skills (desktop and laptop systems).
- Excellent people skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to produce compelling stories under tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be able to operate ENG news vehicles.
- Physical ability to regularly lift and carry 30 lbs. or more.
- Flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Submission of a link to your online demo reel or portfolio showcasing recent work is required.
