As an on-site AMERICAN SYSTEMS Lead Network Engineer, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role ensuring secure, reliable network operations supporting U.S. Government customers. You’ll serve as a technical authority, guiding network design, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining mission-critical connectivity in classified environments.
Responsibilities:As a Lead Network Engineer, you will:
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to protect data and control access to classified networks.
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Diagnose and resolve Layer 2/Layer 3, VPN, and VMware network issues.
- Coordinate on-site and remotely with users to configure equipment and troubleshoot connectivity.
- Recommend performance and security enhancements that improve reliability and reduce costs.
- Interface with senior management and vendor technical teams on network solutions.
- Work independently or lead small technical efforts with minimal supervision.
What You Bring:
U.S. Citizenship (required)
Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor’s degree (or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
8–10 years of professional networking experience
Expertise in Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting, routing/switching, and firewall administration
Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols and network design principles
Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE are highly preferred
