Centra Credit Union has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Consumer Title Specialist located at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbus, Indiana. This position is responsible for receiving, tracking, following up and recording all the new loan titles coming into the Credit Union from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), Members, and Dealerships.
The minimum starting wage for this opportunity is $21.29 per hour.
Spanish/English interpreters may be eligible for an interpreting differential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position may be required to perform additional duties as requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform.
- Processes non-teller paid out loan report and mails out titles to dealerships, Members, and insurance companies. Compiles emails for pay-off of collateral and mails titles.
- Receives titles from BMV, codes the title in the core banking system to show the title is at Centra. Responsible for organizing and maintaining titles in alphabetical filing. Provides additional follow-up for out of state and unique circumstances.
- Responds to requests concerning titles for Members and Loss Mitigation department.
- Processes Guarantee of Titles for insurance companies in cases of total loss.
- Processes lost titles, creating documents to assist Members in obtaining new titles, changing or adding information on their title.
- Responds to requests for out of state transfers, lien releases and gap related claims.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - (Equivalent combination of Education & Experience will be considered)
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
