deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

deciBel Research seeks a Senior Systems Engineer for a position on the GWS-GSS IPT of the Ground Missile Defense (GMD) system. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

As a Sr. Systems Engineer some of your responsibilities will include requirements development, decomposition, software verification & generating system and segment-level test procedures.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience.

Experience Requirements:

• Demonstrated proficiency with DOORS
• Missile Defense Domain knowledge
• Experience working in Hardware and Software integration
• Extensive experience with MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) and the use of SysUML to describe behaviors of a complex DoD system

Special Skills Desired:

• Prior experience with Cameo
• Experience with INCOSE Systems engineering
• Security+
• Current active in-scope U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance
• Capable of working both independently and within a small team environment
