Position Summary: The Payroll Administrator will support the Payroll Department by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of payroll-related data. This role is critical in maintaining organized records, verifying new hire documentation, and preparing payroll deduction data for processing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

In this Role:
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and always promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “Unsurpassed Service” standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll files and employee documentation.
- Safeguard the assets of the Company by ensuring that all internal controls surrounding payroll are adhered to.
- Communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels including educating supervisors and managers on approvals, educating Team Members on punch in/out process, and alerting managers on any issues related to internal controls.
- Assist in research of Team Member’s payroll checks and provide prompt reconciliation service for all inquiries.
- Assist the Payroll team in processing requests for Friend of the Court Orders, and Garnishments to Tribal Court.
- Assisting with biweekly payroll preparation.
- Provide support for Payroll training classes and other Human Resources events, as needed.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of new hire files prior to payroll processing.
- Collect and organize payroll deduction information, including benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings.
- Prepare payroll deduction data for entry and assist in validating information ahead of payroll deadlines.
- Support compliance with recordkeeping requirements and audit readiness.
- Assist in responding to payroll-related inquiries via phone and email.
- Perform data entry and administrative support for payroll operations as needed.
- Assist with special projects or additional tasks assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in accounting, business, or HR preferred.
- 1–2 years of payroll, HR, or administrative experience preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and timekeeping software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
Physical Requirements:
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods while using a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Ability to access all properties and areas.
- Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an office environment; however, additional work areas may be unusually hot, cold, and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of the assigned area. Work may entail constant contact with fellow Team Members, Management, Vendors, and Guests. High volume and fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
