Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Admissions Coordinator to join our team at our skilled nursing facility. Prior experience in a skilled nursing setting and a strong understanding of traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans, and the pre-certification process for admissions and Part B therapy services is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of the admissions process, ensuring a smooth transition for residents and families.
• Communicate effectively with hospitals, case managers, insurance providers, and internal departments.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary pre-certifications for admissions and therapy services.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all admissions-related activities.
• Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and facility staff to ensure a positive admission experience.
• Monitor bed availability and collaborate with clinical staff to assess appropriate placement.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations regarding admissions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions within a skilled nursing or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
• Experience with pre-certification processes for admissions and Part B therapy services.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with hospital discharge planning and referral systems.
