*This position is onsite at our New Rochelle office 4x a week.
Position Purpose: Support the Finance Department to ensure the successful execution of the financial close, reconciling the balance sheet, budgeting, variance analysis, and work paper preparation for the annual external audit.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Monthly Close requirements
- Managing end-to-end financial processes for the organization including invoices daily, ensuring they are processed correctly and that they are coinciding with sales orders.
- Prepare monthly management reports for critical accounts including bank reconciliations, inventory, and accrued purchases.
- Analyze accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards.
- Review general ledger accounts through analytical review, and proactively research activity to rectify errors.
- Record journal entry transactions as necessary based on supportable information.
Ongoing Daily Procedures
- Perform review of travel and expense transactions.
- Process accounts receivable cash application and deposit checks ensuring that records from the company and bank are accurate.
- Consistently following up with customers to verify they have received billing requests, or if they are overdue with their payments.
Audit Assistance
- Provide reports and analysis as required for external auditors
- Miscellaneous projects as needed
Job Requirements/Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of general accounting experience
- Accounting Degree preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with NetSuite a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, fast learner, ability to adapt to change and team player
Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000
*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
