Job Summary:
In your role as a Business Development Leader, you will lead sales and marketing efforts in a business-to-business setting in which you will cover an assigned territory and build a portfolio of accounts via referrals, prospecting and attending networking events. Ideal candidates have a successful track record selling in fast-paced construction environment with a strong hunter mindset.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Under general direction, develop the Pax value proposition and sales strategy to increase market share and execute the sales plan in your territory.
- Identify, evaluate and qualify new business opportunities and alliances that promote the organization’s objectives.
- Develop a pipeline of future sales opportunities and utilize CRM software to drive pipeline velocity and create a balanced portfolio.
- New customer acquisition through cold calling, prospecting, networking, telemarketing lead follow-up, target marketings and business development meetings.
- Determine and assess a customer’s needs to provide Technical Sales Rep with sufficient information to draft appropriate proposals, translating to high conversion rates and revenue.
- Maintain commercial client relationships with a focus on customer service as a key priority for business referrals and repeat business.
- Participate in and lead strategic opportunity reviews on assigned opportunities.
- Plan, oversee and participate in marketing outreach and attend industry meetings and trade shows as required.
- Coordinate cost estimates on project consultations and work with assigned support staff.
- Participate in job completion financial analysis and track performance metrics.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 5 + years previous construction or industrial sales experience required.
- Experience in growing market share.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a tenacious drive to sell and the ability to problem-solve.
- Excellent organizational skills and sales tracking abilities, utilizing CRM software.
- Excellent Time Management and follow-up skills.
- Ability to travel as necessary with or without notice locally.
- High level written and verbal communication skills, and computer competency.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Degree in Business or Construction management preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
