Essential Functions:
- Coordination of product buildability points for a new type vehicle launch
- Utilize Zeus tracking system for implementation of countermeasures required to achieve buildability in new type product
- Work with CEP-Hub and R&D to reduce complexity of product design/commonize similar components to improve manufacturability as well as reduce input costs
- Work with production team support to identify top build concerns during ramp-up and series production of a new type vehicle and coordinate improvements with CEP-Hub and R&D
- Interface regularly with Chief Engineer Production (CEP) Hub in Sindelfingen and across a global network, as well as Research and Development (R&D) to identify and implement product improvements
- Utilize CAD Software (Smaragd/Engineering Client) for digital Buildability confirmations
- Engagement in design and integration of tooling to promote better vehicle quality
Other Regular Daily Tasks:
- Assistance to the Chief Engineer Production management staff in special projects
- Assist with meeting coordination and scheduling for buildability related meeting rounds
- Projects centered around CAD design to create fixtures to improve the fit and function of the vehicle
