Description
Housekeeping is responsible for the maintenance of a clean, sanitary and healthy environment in outpatient care areas. The incumbent is required to have knowledge of all cleaning procedures and performs cleaning in accordance with a planned, written schedule. Infection Control and Safety policy procedures will be followed in accordance with directed OSHA and I.H.S. guidelines. Incumbent will proved cleaning services based upon the type of contamination and the specific patient care units. The incumbent will be assigned permanently or can be rotated as necessary to another unit. The position can be scheduled to work days, evenings, nights, weekend and holidays.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 6 or more months of experience in Janitorial field
- Intermediate knowledge of operational use of housekeeping equipment and cleaning agents
- Willing and able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time using full range of motion with ability to lift 50lbs or more.

- Requires ability to read, understand and adhere to stringent biological control standards
- Must be willing to work odd hours, rotate shirts or be on call for emergencies
- Knowledge of HIPPA and Privacy Act
- Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Requires confidentiality, ethics and integrity at all times
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills and attend training, as necessary
- Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
