The Home Health Aide Recruitment Associate plays a vital role in building a compassionate, high-quality caregiver workforce that brings comfort and care to our communities. This position is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring outstanding Home Health Aide (HHA) candidates while ensuring all pre- and post-employment processes are completed accurately and in compliance with VNS Health and regulatory requirements.
You’ll actively engage in community-based recruitment across Westchester and beyond - representing VNS Health at job fairs, career days, and local outreach events to connect great people with meaningful work. What You Will Do:
The Recruitment Associate identifies and attracts qualified candidates for Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) roles and the HHA Training Program, ensuring a consistent pipeline of talent to meet organizational needs.
- Source, attract, and interview candidates for HHA roles and training programs through multiple channels including referrals, community events, and job postings.
- Conduct monthly Open Houses and represent VNS Health at recruitment events such as job fairs, school career days, and community outreach programs.
- Partner with Employee Health Services to ensure all hires meet compliance standards, including documentation, testing, and reference verification.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, compile hiring metrics, and report on progress toward staffing goals.
- Collaborate with management to analyze staffing trends, identify recruitment challenges, and develop solutions to improve retention and hiring efficiency.
- Coordinate and facilitate New Employee Orientation for HHAs; evaluate and recommend improvements to the orientation and training process.
- Stay current with recruitment and healthcare industry trends to inform ongoing process enhancements.
- Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences or a related field or equivalent work experience required
Work Experience:
- Minimum of three years general Human Resources experience, including a minimum of one year in recruitment required
- General knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local employment laws, regulations, rules and practices required
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills required
- Personal computer skills required
