As Retail Sales Manager, you are  responsible for leading the achievement of our retail sales objectives by  managing the performance of internal sales staff and broker partners. You  ensure sales plans, pricing programs, and promotional efforts for our specialty  frozen food and other manufactured food products are implemented effectively  and in alignment with established company strategies.
 

In this role, you use data to monitor sales performance, drive target  achievement, manage broker relationships, and provide support  across  accounts. You also directly manage key customer relationships that require custom programs, ensuring their successful execution and alignment with operational directives.  


Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Execute sales operations: You oversee day-to-day retail sales activities, ensuring sales plans, retail programs, and pricing strategies are implemented to support company strategy.

· Lead and coach the retail sales team: You manage performance through regular coaching, review of reports, and tracking progress against defined targets to keep the team focused and accountable.

· Manage broker partnerships: You oversee broker relationships from onboarding through performance monitoring and annual evaluations, making sure brokers execute in alignment with company expectations.

· Directly manage key customer accounts: Under direction of the Marketing Director, you take assist with large or strategic retail customers that require tailored solutions, assisting with the implementation of custom programs, pricing, and service requirements.

· Track and analyze performance: You monitor customer- and team-level KPIs such as sales performance, margin attainment, and program compliance, ensuring results meet or exceed expectations.

· Ensure pricing and promotion accuracy: You verify that pricing, promotions, and customer-specific plans are executed within established budgets and strategic frameworks.

· Collaborate across departments: You coordinate with Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Quality Assurance to resolve issues, deliver on customer requirements, and ensure seamless execution of sales programs.

· Identify and address execution gaps: You review sales data and customer performance trends, identify areas where execution is falling short, and provide solutions or coaching to close those gaps quickly.

· Facilitate communication and alignment: You lead regular sales team meetings to set priorities, share updates, and review performance so that everyone stays aligned.

Requirements

To be  successful in this role, you should have at least five years of experience in  retail or CPG sales, with a proven track record in team leadership and broker  management. Experience with CRM  systems, Excel, and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) is  required. Travel for this role may be  up to 25% as necessary for customer meetings, broker oversight or trade  events.    A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

To  be successful in this role, you will primarily utilize general office  equipment (copier, scanner, telephone) and computer hardware and software (PC,  Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, ERP).
