Quality Assurance Tester (Manual & Automation) – Restaurant Technology
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Tester with a strong background in both manual and automated testing to join our growing team of highly-skilled technology professionals. The ideal candidate will also bring firsthand experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, helping ensure our products deliver exceptional quality and usability for our hospitality clients.

LOCATION: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Tampa, FL. This is an in-office role.
NOTE: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or valid EAD holders). Sponsorship is not available for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications, mobile apps, and REST services.
- Use testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Postman, and SoapUI to ensure high product quality.
- Isolate, replicate, and report defects; verify fixes using JIRA or similar bug-tracking systems.
- Conduct cross-platform testing across multiple physical devices and emulators (iOS and Android).
- Manage and configure mobile and tablet devices through MDM solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams to define clear acceptance criteria and ensure alignment with customer expectations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and best practices for building, maintaining, and executing automated tests.
- Proven ability to balance manual exploratory testing with automation coverage.
- Prior experience working in the restaurant or hospitality industry, with an understanding of restaurant operations, workflows, or POS systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate testing results, risks, and impediments clearly.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to test documentation and reporting.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities.
- Collaborative team player who values open communication and a positive, flexible attitude.
- Comfortable working in a smaller, startup-style environment where ownership and adaptability are key.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of QA experience in web and/or mobile application testing (manual and automated).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, testing methodologies, and QA best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Postman, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with JIRA or comparable issue-tracking systems.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or similar programming/scripting languages.
- Experience with Agile development (Scrum or Kanban) preferred.
- Exposure to load testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.
You may be a good fit if you have these additional skills and/or educational background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with performance testing and security testing.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with mobile or web application testing is a plus.
