MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EITHER: (A) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency
                     diploma and two years of full-time work experience maintaining financial accounts and records;

OR:         (B) Completion of two years (30 credits are equal to one year) of college,
                     business school or other post high school training which included four courses in account keeping or bookkeeping;

OR:         (C)  An equivalent combination of the training and experience between the limits of (A) and (B) above.

NOTE: Qualifying work experience in the maintenance of payroll records includes activities related to processing payroll, deductions, garnishments, retirement calculations and related activities. Experience in tallying hours and data entry will NOT be considered as qualifying experience.

NOTE: Only education gained at a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees is acceptable for purposes of qualification.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
This position will be appointed provisionally.
A Civil Service exam is required for a permanent appointment.
